In 2003 I had the privilege of doing the voice-over for the legendary «Today we drink to a great Swiss invention» TV ads for Feldschlösschen beer (there was even an English version), working at the legendary Condor Studios under the legendary Michi Fueter. The whole thing was to be done in the clipped style of the weekly 1940s «Schweizer Filmwochenschau» (Swiss Film Newsreel). After what felt like a thousand takes Michi Fueter finally got the result he was after.
When a bit later on a client wanted to book me for a documentary about famine in Africa I was asked quite indignantly: «Do you always speak like you do in those Feldschlösschen ads?»
